1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing privateicontractorvetting.com or purchasing any report, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all policies incorporated by reference, including our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Service Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use this service.

This site is operated by Pagios Enterprises LLC, doing business as PAGIOS and Private-i Contractor Vetting ("Private-i," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Private-i produces written research reports on residential roofing contractors. Each report compiles publicly available information from sources including state licensing boards, business registries, court records, OSHA filings, customer reviews, manufacturer certification databases, and publicly accessible online presence.

Reports are intended to help homeowners make more informed hiring decisions. They are not guarantees of contractor performance, and they do not constitute professional recommendations, legal advice, financial advice, or endorsements of any contractor.

3. Not a Consumer Report Under the FCRA

Private-i reports are not "consumer reports" as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. Section 1681 et seq. Our reports are compiled for informational purposes only and may not be used for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

4. Permitted Uses

You may use Private-i reports solely for your own personal, non-commercial decision-making regarding whether to hire a specific roofing contractor for work on your property. You may not:

We make reasonable efforts to compile accurate, current information. However, public records can be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information in our reports. Our automated scoring is a structured summary of findings, not a legal determination of contractor fitness.

Licensing status, legal filings, and other public records can change at any time. A report reflects the state of available public information at the time it was generated. We are not responsible for changes that occur after a report is delivered.

6. Payment

All fees are charged in U.S. dollars and are due at the time of order. Current pricing is displayed on the Pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes will not affect orders already placed.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card information.

7. Refunds

Refund eligibility and procedures are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Report Delivery

Reports are delivered as a secure web link sent to the email address you provide at checkout. Delivery typically occurs within 24 to 48 hours of order placement, though timelines may vary based on research complexity or data source availability. You are responsible for providing a valid, accessible email address.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including report templates, scoring rubrics, methodology, software, design, text, and graphics, is the property of Pagios Enterprises LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to view and use your individual report for personal decision-making only. No other license is granted.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAGIOS ENTERPRISES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THIS SERVICE OR ANY REPORT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE ISSUES, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC REPORT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pagios Enterprises LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law; or (c) any claim that your use of a report caused harm to a third party.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
